Judge Worries About Celebrity Adoptions

It has been a big debate about whether or not Madonna could adopt a child from Malawi. Although Madonna has lots of money, her own family is slightly dysfunctional.

On Friday, April 3rd, Madonna was rejected by Judge Esme Chombo to adopt a 3-year-old child from Malawi because she has not been a resident of the country for the last 18 months. Madonna has adopted before, but Judge Esme was warned against celebrity adoptions saying it could lead to child ‘trafficking’.
