We the Producers
We wouldn’t be a complete LA-Hollywood industry news site if we didn’t produce a movie. Your friends at Starked LA are official producers of The One-Second Film. A film that is just what looks like, one second of frames and then the credits, in which yours truly will be featured. Here are some reasons why we did it:
- - It was cheap
- - We wouldn’t be true to Hollywood without being someway involved in the industry
- - Neither Defamer nor the LAist did it, which makes us better than them (they don’t love you)
- - Did we mention it was cheap? $15.15 to be exact. This also put us above some of the celebrity producers of the film, such as:
- Spike Jones - $12.00
- Bill Pullman - $10.75
- Christina Ricci - $5.50
- And Pauly Shore - $1.00
Who remind us all that they desperately need work. The movie is what the 1 Foundation plans to host as a “series of large-scale collaborative events allowing people around the world to participate in the creation of non-profit animated films that raise money for various causes”. This means they plan to buy a lot of pot and sit in multi-racial circles getting high.
