As “Alpha Dog” shoots onto theatre screens across the United States more and more people (especially in the Midwest) keep asking who is “Jesse James Hollywood?” The answer is as simple as, hold on, taking deep breath and cracking knuckles: a young man, slightly older then the others who become involved, who is from a wealthy family in Southern California masterminds and or manipulates a plot to get money from a drug debt by kidnapping another young man. In all it’s cliched glory the plan goes awry and the kidnapped kid gets killed while Jesse disappears into what can only be presumed to be, the Midwest. Exhale, drink from water bottle, stare longingly at empty water pipe. Now Jesse is in custody awaiting trial and sporting really bad hair.
